Bandar (Movie Poster)
Bandar is a short film directed by Geet Gangwani which delves into the intricate dynamics of long distance relationships. The story follows a young couple as they begin their long distance journey, navigating the emotions and evolution of their bond. Geet reached out to me for designing the poster and the only brief was that the poster should have a sense of 'mauve' colour in it.

We began by exploring three distinct visual directions with Geet gravitating towards the use of a lighter background and liking a collage style approach. To capture the rough yet beautiful experiences of long-distance relationships, we introduced tactile details, experimenting with paper textures, rugged edges, and illustrations. The final direction brought all the explorations together through custom lettering, with the final composition balancing the visuals and typography while leaving space to add the film festivals that the movie would go on to tour.
